Author Guidelines

How to submit a manuscript

  • An English abstract should be submitted first
  • Accepted abstracts will be assigned to a thematic area
  • Authors will be requested to send their manuscript (in English)
  • The manuscript will be sent out to two anonymous referees
  • Accepted manuscripts will be formatted by the author according to the international editorial norms of and sent back to the editorial staff
  • English translations and revision are the author’s.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Italian Journal of Sociology of Education

    PAPERS: Instructions for Authors

     

     

    Registration and login are required to submit papers online and to check the status of current submissions. Papers must be 10.000 words maximum, written in English and have to be sent via online submission http://www.ijse.eu/index.php/ijse/login In case you do not manage to submit your paper online, you can send it to barbara.segatto@unipd.it

    The first page of each paper should contain title, authors, institution and a short abstract of 100-150 words with a minimum of 4 key-words. Authors' names and institutions should be typed ONLY on the first page of the paper. The full postal and email address of the author who will check proofs and receive correspondence should also be included only in the first page. To allow review, all submissions must be properly formatted for anonymous review process (see also instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review). The paper will be then sent out to two anonymous referees.

    The submission file has to be in Microsoft Word, RTF, or PDF format.

    English translations and revision are under the author's responsibility.

    Papers submitted should be original, not under review by any other publication and not published elsewhere.

     

    If the paper is accepted,  it will have to be formatted by the author according to the editorial norms and sent back to the editorial staff.

    Editorial norms, as listed below, are divided into three points:

    3 WORD TEMPLATE for Papers.

    Articles failing to conform to the following editorial norms may not be considered for publication.

     

     

    1. Style guidelines: Description of the Journal's article style

    All illustrations, figures, images and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end. It is strongly recommended to send also a separate file (ex: in Excel) with figures and data necessary to create each figure (send to: barbara.segatto@unipd.it)

    For a book  article

    Last name, Initial of First name (year of publication). Book title. City of publication: Name of the publisher.

     

    For a journal article, you need the following elements:

    Last name, Initial of First name (year of publication). Title of article. Title of journal, volume number (issue number), Page numbers.
